Expiration Options for Core and Pro plus the Pro Counter
For all coupons they now default to ignored so that they appear on the site.
For core there is an option to use an expiration date and hide the coupon after that date has pasted.
In Pro there are now two more expiration options and the counter.
Ignore Expiration
This option does not use an expiration and the coupon will always show. You can use this option with Pro’s Counter and the coupon will no longer display if the counter is reached.
Expiration
This is a simple expiration based on the date. After the date has past the coupon no longer displays on the front end of your site.
Recurring Expiration
This option enables you to set a date and then have that expiration update itself based on a set pattern. So you can set your coupons to always expire on the last day of the month or enable it to renew the expiration every 1, 2 or 3 weeks. You can also set a limit to a recurrence.
X Days Expiration
This is a new expiration option in Pro 2.3 and it enables you to set an expiration x amount of days from the current date. This will enable you to give a coupon to your customers that gives them 1 month to redeem it from their visit. The time periods are 1, 2, or 3 months or you can choose between 1 to 60 days.
Range Expiration
This new expiration option included in Pro 2.4 enables you to set a valid date range for the coupon. The coupon will show once it is published and will display an expiration range such as: Valid 11/01/16 thru 11/10/16. After the expiration date has been reached the coupon will expire and no longer show.
Counter
The counter in Pro enables you to set have a counter per coupon that is either unlimited or has a limit on how many times a coupon can be seen in the print view. The counter runs every visit to the print view or in the popup view of the print view. Since Pro 2.3 you can sort the Counter Column to view coupons by their count.
