Any user with the editor role or lower may have an issue with formatting made in the “coupon terms” area not holding upon publishing the coupon as it checks for the unfiltered_html capability.

To resolve this use this plugin:

To give the editor role or any other role unfiltered_html and that should resolve the issue.
